In addition to providing classroom based training, Health and Style Institute also gives students the opportunity to work in a real-world salon and spa setting where you provide services to clients under the supervision of a licensed instructor. This allows you to begin building your clientele, while you are still in school!

OUR PROGRAMS

We offer three beauty programs at Health and Style Institute. Students may choose to take the path that interests them the most.

Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program is our most popular program and it teaches the fundamentals of cutting, styling, permanent waving, hair coloring, manicuring, skin care and makeup. Upon completion of the 1,500 clock hours required by the State of Georgia for graduation, students will have the opportunity to sit for the state board exam.

Skin Care Therapy

Health and Style Institute's Skin Care Therapy program instructs students in the fundamentals of skin care, facials, facial massage, hair removal, spa body basics, business aspects, product knowledge and effective retailing. Students are required by the State of Georgia to complete 1,000 clock hours and pass the state board exam to become a licensed esthetician. Graduates of this program can work in a variety of environments, such as salons, health and beauty spas, and medical offices.

Cosmetology Teacher Training

The Teacher Training Program prepares students with all of the fundamentals of providing cosmetology instruction in a licensed public or private cosmetology school. Students of this course must possess a high school diploma or GED and must have their cosmetology license. The program prepares students with the knowledge and skills to pass the State Board exam to become a licensed Cosmetology Teacher and obtain employment in the cosmetology training industry.
