Ron King Academy focuses on individual transformation
Led by celebrity hair stylist Ron King and hair academy experts David and Christie Gonzales, Ron King Academy is committed to helping students reach their full potential by preparing them for a salon career, photo shoots, runway shows and more.

The academy was also founded with the purpose of serving others. Our vision is to grow locally so we can continue to grow globally and build a network of schools in developing countries to empower people and give them hope.

Shaping careers in cosmetology
Our academy does things a little bit different. Ron King Academy's curriculum combines a full spectrum of cutting-edge techniques, hands-on experience, real-life business skills and personal growth from the inside out that students need when starting their beauty careers.

We have partnered with L'Oreal Professionnel to train students on the best product line available, and the Summit Salon Business Center to learn the ins and outs of building a clientele, selling retail products and more. Students will work with experts, including Ron King, to master a wide range of skill. RKA cosmetology program is 1500 hours and includes:

Hair Styling
Cutting
Perming
Coloring
Facials and skincare
Artificial nail techniques
Manicures and pedicures
Make-up application
Hair removal
Eyelash extensions
Updo's

Where barbers begin their journey
Proper accredited barber programs are a rarity nowadays. As one of the only barber programs in Austin, Ron King Academy barber curriculum combines new with tried-and-true techniques that set students up for success. As with our cosmetology program, barber students are also educated using the Summit Salon Business Center and by instructors trained by L'Oreal Profressionel. Our barber program is 1500 hours and includes:

Cuts with shears and razors - Men, women and children
Clipper cutting
Shaving
Facials and skin care
Design and styling
Perms and straightening
State required procedures like sanitation
Coloring
Professional business skills

Mentoring aspiring estheticians
If skin is your thing, enroll in Ron King Academy's esthetics program. Our curriculum prepares students with classic methods, groundbreaking technology, the latest techniques and business skills that will help students become relaxation and skin care experts.

An esthetics education from Ron King Academy teaches students how to make clients feel great, inside and out, through hands-on learning and state-of-the-art equipment.
